Who is the controller of my data?

Fluentbe processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. Provide a response to your request for contact regarding the presentation of the Administrator's offer related to foreign language teaching,
  2. Processing data for marketing purposes,
  3. Providing educational services to you, including online foreign language learning on the basis of the concluded agreement,
  4. Performing assessment of your learning progress,
  5. Carry out activities aimed at improving the quality of services provided,
  6. Inform you of lesson cancellations or postponements,
  7. Statistics.

  1. On the basis of your request to contact you regarding the presentation of the Administrator's offer related to foreign language teaching, this request is treated as consent to the processing of personal data; we inform you that your consent may be withdrawn at any time;
  2. On the basis of a contract for the provision of educational services - if such a contract is concluded; this basis also includes the possibility of contacting you in the event of cancellation or postponement of individual lessons in the course;
  3. On the basis of legal obligations incumbent on the Administrator, in particular related to the need to issue appropriate tax and accounting documents;
  4. On the basis of the legitimate interest of Fluentbe, which finds support in Article 6(1)(f) RODO. This interest consists in assessing whether the services provided by the Administrator receive a positive response and to improve the quality of the services provided by Fluentbe.

In the case described in point 1, failure to provide personal data will prevent the Administrator from contacting you and providing an offer.

In the cases described in points 2 and 3, providing personal data is a statutory and contractual requirement. Failure to provide personal data will prevent the Administrator from providing services to you. Who may be the recipient of my personal data, i.e. the entity to whom the Administrator may disclose my personal data?

How long will my data be stored?

Your personal data will be kept for the duration of the contract for the provision of educational services, and after its termination for the period of limitation of any civil claims or tax liabilities. Where the legal basis for the processing of personal data is consent - the processing of personal data will take place until the consent is withdrawn.

What are my rights in relation to the processing of personal data?

The Administrator informs that you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, which, however, does not affect the validity of the personal data processing that took place before the withdrawal of consent.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your personal data, if there are legal grounds for this. You also have the right to data portability of data processed by automated processing systems. You have the right to access your personal data, correct them, erase them or restrict their processing, if there are legal grounds to do so.

Can my data be seen by other Internet users?

In connection with the nature of the language classes, your personal data may be available to other participants of the course you are attending and to the teacher. However, the data will not be publicly available, i.e. it will not be visible to other Internet users.

Fluentbe informs you that due to the IT tools used, in particular those supporting the connection with the teacher, the image of the course participants may be visible to other course participants.

Does Fluentbe transfer my personal data to countries outside the European Union?

Because of the use of IT tools that are provided by companies from different countries, it may happen that your personal data is, as part of those tools, transferred to countries outside the EU. In this case Fluentbe makes sure that the tool providers enter into special agreements regarding personal data or act on appropriate legal mechanisms such as Privacy Shield.

What if Fluentbe obtained my personal information from my employer?

Where your personal data has been obtained from your employer, Fluentbe acts as a so-called processor (processor). Your data is processed on the basis of the contract concluded with the Employer, and Fluentbe processes it only for the purpose of fulfilling the contract with the Employer. To this extent, Fluentbe may contact you to inform you of a cancelled or postponed lesson.
