Hi! I am a proud Jamaican digital nomad.
World Traveller, Clinical Lab Scientist, Artist, Poet and Actress are just a few titles I hold in additon to Native English Teacher.
Over the past 8 years I have lived in 5 different countries. 6.5 of those 8 years were spent in Japan where I became a TESOL/TEFL, TEYL and Business English certified teacher. I taught students ranging from preschoolers to adults but teaching wasn't all I did.
I also acted with a Community theatre group for 3yrs. My background in Medicine, the Arts and teaching in multicultural classrooms has provided me with a variety of experiences that allow me to create interesting and interactive lessons that my students love.
I thrive in both 1-on-1 and group lessons because I am highly adaptable. In either setting, I like to get to know my students likes and dislikes and weave that into the lessons because I am aware that students more readily grasp information when things that they appreciate are incorporated.
When I am not teaching online, you can find me taking walks in nature or curled up in the couch watching a fantasy movie (think magic and space, time travel) or medical dramas.
