Hi, I’m Dora. Greetings from the UK, and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile.
I am Polish and British, TEFL-qualified, and a QTS-certified teacher of English. I hold both a BA and an MA in English, as well as postgraduate qualifications in areas including Community Interpreting and Counselling. I have lived in the UK for 13 years and have extensive experience in British education, including coordinating AQA Unit Awards and teaching Design and Technology to students in the UK.
I am also a member of The Tutors’ Association and hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate for the children and young people’s workforce.
I strongly believe that language should be learned as naturally and organically as possible. For this reason, I use communicative, creative and student-centred teaching methods. I want my students to use English actively, not simply memorise grammar rules or vocabulary lists.
My main goal is to help you become more confident, fluent and independent in English. I want you to finish each lesson feeling that you have made genuine progress — that you can express yourself more clearly, understand more, and communicate with greater confidence.
The journey towards fluency can sometimes feel long or challenging, but every lesson moves you forward. As the saying goes, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step — and by starting to learn, you have already taken that step.
To me, fluency is freedom. It gives you the confidence to travel, work, study, connect with people and express yourself more fully.
