Sobre mim

I am a TESOL and TEFL qualified ESL teacher with a decade of teaching experience in Australia and China.

My professional experience:

I spent six years teaching international students at Swinburne College in Melbourne. During that time, I was appointed Convenor (Manager) for Communication for Design, which was the core unit of Swinburne's Diploma of Design program. My responsibilities included designing the unit outline, along with all assessment tools (essays, oral presentations, reports, and exams) and lesson plans, and to ensure that all such documentation was compliant with AQF standards. 

Additionally, I have several years’ experience as an ESL teacher in various locations around China, teaching both school and university students as well as adult professionals. This includes assessing middle school students using the Cambridge-issued KET and PET examinations. I also privately tutored the sons and daughters of my Chinese colleagues, and school-leaving students preparing to take the IELTS exam for study abroad. My passion for travel and immersion in other cultures is testament to my openness and adaptability.  I can speak Mandarin Chinese fluently, and read and write Mandarin Chinese at an intermediate level.
