Hello!
My name is Oliver and I'm a British teacher currently living in Preston, England. Teaching is my professional calling, and I have loved ESL teaching since my first lesson, where I taught a young Chinese girl called Miho. I have experience teaching online for companies based in China and Japan and also have classroom experience in México. My classes are fun and engaging, and I aim to create a friendly atmosphere where I encourage students to make mistakes so they can learn from them later. I use a variety of activities, such as games and quizzes in my lessons, to keep you engaged and allow some air of friendly competition.
I have four years' experience preparing students for Cambridge exams and I'm also qualified to teach students both Academic and General IELTS. I specialise in writing and have instructed students on the Cambridge proficiency exam writing section.So if you are looking to improve your essay writing or want to write for fun in English, then I can definitely help you out.
My free time comprises of playing the guitar, writing poetry, improving my scope of knowledge and gaming (I have a great gaming PC). I know exactly what it's like to learn a language because I am currently studying Spanish. There can be lots of difficulties and picking apart grammatical constructs and slang terms can be an awful business. So I'm here to help you with whatever your needs are.
